Music Ministry

Psalm 100 calls for us to "Sing a joyful noise unto the Lord! Serve the Lord with gladness. Come to him with singing." We do! Out music ministry provides all ages the oppoutunity to join in thes psalm and reap the benifits of "knowing the Lord as God" and that "we are His". With out mucid, we can "Enter His gates with joy and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and bless his name... His love endures forever."

The Sanctuary Choir is a mixed, non-auditioned chorus that leads the 11:00 am Sunday worship service through their musical talent. Selections are chosen that reflect the seasons and topics of the liturgical year drawing from a large variety of musical genres including gospel, traditional folk, spirituals, shape-note, Renaissance and classical. Participation in the choir includes musical preparation for weekly worship services and for other special services.

Rehearsals in Adult Choir Room: Wednesdays at 7:15pm, Sundays at 10:30am

Our all-men Sunday School class enjoys singing as part of each Sunday's class.  On occasion, they treat us to a selection of their favorite hymns sung from the Broadman Hymnal.

The Handbell Choir participates in 6-8 worship services during the year and practices every Wednesday from 5:30-6:30pm. We welcome new members: age 15 and up, and ability to read music is very helpful.

The Cherubs usually sing monthly during worship under the direction of Kay Huffstickler.
