Sunday School Celebration – May 18

All Sunday School classes, please gather in the sanctuary at 10:15 a.m. to celebrate the close of our 2007-2008 Sunday School year. We will recognize our Sunday School participants, and honor the adult class with the highest average attendance. Sunday School teachers will be recognized during the 10:55 a.m. worship service.

 

Food Pantry Sunday

Calvin’s Crew (NPC  Senior Adults) have suggested a new mission emphasis for worship on the first Sunday of every month. Each first Sunday will be a “Food Pantry Sunday.”  All are encouraged to  bring canned goods to church and place them in the designated baskets in the narthex

 

Vacation Bible School – June 16 – 20!

Plan now to be a part of the “Power Lab”, and discover Jesus’ Miraculous Power! VBS is always one of the highlights of the summer at NPC. If you would like to volunteer to be a part of the VBS Team, please contact Meg. We will need many volunteers to serve as “crew leaders” whose job is to shepherd a small group of children among various activities. Registration begins April 27.

 

New for 2’s and 3’s!

The Education Ministry is now offering Structured Play for children ages 2 and 3 during the 10:55 a.m. worship service. This time is designed for children who are past nursery age, but still too active to take part in worship and Children’s Church. Singing, dancing, coloring, story time, and games are all part of the fun. Drop your child off any time after 10:40 a.m. to Rm. 124 (across from the Infant Nursery).

 

 

HELP WANTED: “Greeter Getter” needs energetic Sunday morning people!! The Membership Ministry is seeking individuals with a firm handshake and winning smiles to welcome others into worship.  This job can be filled by those who worship at 8:30 or 10:55.  No experience is needed and the pay is heavenly! The benefits are endless! Volunteers Needed!

Juanita Hieronymus and a dedicated group of ladies make sure that our worship bulletins are put together and placed in the sanctuary every week.  If anyone is available to help with this job on Fridays, please let Kitty Lambert or Juanita know.  Thanks!

 

Bell Choir

If you would like to join the Young Adult/Adult Hand-Bell Choir, please contact Cindy Burkhart.  We are planning on playing simple pieces and will have a great time!  Practices are tentatively planned for Wednesday nights when the children are in choir practice.

  

  

Organ Fund
An anonymous donor has made a gift to the Organ Fund for the purpose of making needed repairs to our organ. If you would like to give to this fund, please indicate “Organ Fund” on your check.
  
Flower Calendar
The Flower Calendar is on the door of the break room (the room next to Dr. Barrow’s office).  If you would like to place flowers in the sanctuary on a Sunday in 2007, please sign your name on the calendar or contact Linda by email or phone at 770-253-4405
