ChristCare Small Group Ministry

ChristCare groups are gatherings of 3-12 people who meet on a regular basis with a trained leader in order to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. These groups are warm, welcoming places where people learn to know and care for one another; to help one another grow in faith; and to help one another be all that Christ calls us to be. ChristCare groups are a way to spread Christ’s love both inside and outside our congregation.

There are four activities which occur in every ChristCare group: community building and care; Biblical Equipping (a unique form of small group Bible study); prayer and worship; and missional service.

  • Community building and care provides a time for group members to listen and support one another and create a place for members to share their joys, sorrows and faith.

  • Biblical Equipping is reading scripture together, meditating on the scripture and discussing the passage as a group.

  • Prayer and worship is a devotional time to focus on God.

  • Missional service allows the group to concentrate on service to our church, our community or to specific organizations.

Newnan Presbyterian Church’s ChristCare Group ministry has been in place for several years and has offered a variety of groups, some short-term and some ongoing. Each group is different, but each group shares the basic concept of fellowship, caring and growing in Christ’s love.

There is still time to join one of our Fall ChristCare Groups! Come join with others and grow in faith and friendship. All ChristCare groups include Bible study, prayer & worship, mission, and community & care.  Listed below are the ChristCare groups we are currently offering. If you are interested in one of these ChristCare groups, please contact Meg at the Church Office or mclark@newnanpres.org.
